china quake

it is scary. the china quake affected quite a few parts of china. i could not remember any majoy eartchquake occurring in china. at least, not any powerful quake that i can recall. therefore, this really terrified me. thousands of lives are affected and have changed. with more that 30000 lives lost. we can see updates on the news of every tv channel across asia.

amidst the rubble and debris, scenes which can touch your heart can still be seen. mammys gave up their lives to protect their children. people hanging on even after 100 hours, struggling to stay alive. with people living, comes people dying. schools and houses were crashed. can you imagine that happening? life is so fragile that it will be gone in minutes' time.

it has been a week since the 8.0 magnitude great quake, hope miracles still do happen. saving more lives of people who see a glimpse of hope. and may the tremors stop soon. even disaster relief demands are affected due to hydroelectric stations and coal transport affected by the quake. thankfully, the government is trying all means and ways to send support over.

is end of the world really approaching? i sincerely hope not. we should count ourselves lucky that singapore is considered a safe place where such natural disasters do not happen. *touch wood* olympics is in about three months' time. what a time for the quake to take place. hope china can really get back on their feet. we should love our planet more so as to eliminate any natural disaster, if possible.
