was really busy recently. thus, this late update. wasn't really that busy, just didn't have the opportunity to post. and was really busy was work the last few days. and had a mini belated birthday celebration yesterday for hui xian, whose birthday was on friday, 14 november 2008. happy belated birthday`~! sorry for the delay in your present. may it come soon! alright? *^_^* played overnight mahjong at her house last night with her, li ting and li ting's friend emily. i shared with niam niam. we lost $1.20! it was indeed a loooong one round. hahahaha....
the title is self-explanatory. or rather, 'we were at the zoo, zoo, zoo.... how about you, you, you? you ccan come too, too, too.' hahahahah.... niam niam and i went to the zoo last sunday. actually it wasn't too long ago since our last visit and though the entrance fee is kind of pricey, we still decided to go anyway. cos the zoo is a fun place! being with the animals is very relaxing, enjoying and fun! everybody is a child at the zoo.
we bought one row of six boxes of raisins, wanted to feed the animals, orang utans, in particular. but too many visitors! should not have gone on a weekend man. we only fed a few animals. but seeing the zookeepers feeding the animals is more of an enjoyment. we saw feeding of lions, giraffe, polar bears and cheetah. interesting! we wanted to see feeding of king cobra but it is undergoing sloughing, so it will not feel hungry. too bad! and we saw the splash safari show, sealion and penguins performing.
i miss the polar bears, sheba and inuka.... inuka is the son of sheba and he is a very big boy. he likes watermelon! and the smart chimpanzee which got his own fruit from the box using just a stick and 'demanded' sugarcane from the zookeeper. and monkeys which did weird acts? and i was kissed by the sealion! quite upset that didn't get to see any elephant. don't know what happened. what is going to the zoo without seeing any elephant? and no big hippos, left with smaller breed ones. giraffes with long black tongue. interesting animals though 'supporting roles', are cute as well. free ranging orang utans where they may be just above your head! the lion who practised 'ladies first' to his mates. the sun bear which looks clumsy. the big bored orang utan behind the glass window. a point to note: not all animals are pretty and well-maintained. i think the white tigers are really pretty. perhaps the best groomed of all, and of the right size. so sad that a tragic happened a few days after.
