first presents i got: fifteen snacks packed into one by my niece. actually she bought twenty-four but her grandma said the package was too big, so she took out some. interesting present. thanks joyce! then a body foam by my auntie and red packet from my ah gim.
27 march 2009 (friday) had dinner with my family at two chefs, a tze char store near my place. i had heard about it from my colleagues. their 牛油排骨 and 沙律虾球. they are so right. these two dishes are so delicious! if you want to try them, let me know. walking distance from commonwealth mrt station.
28 march 2009 (saturday) initially was just a dinner with my colleagues at shokudo food bazaar. turned out to be a birthday treat for niam niam and me. i like the idea of the place. marche-style makan place. all japanese food! i like!
30 march 2009 (monday)pre took leave. niam niam rented car. went back to office to submit working papers. then to ikea for lunch and to buy a lamp for my room. and to daily scoop at clementi arcade for ice-cream waffle. very nice! next to marina raffles country club. pretty place. where you can see the yachts by the sunside and the second link. then to imm for niam niam to buy pillow. dinner at sapphire, jewel box. nice scenery, nice ambience, but food so-so. dessert at tcc at keppel bay. another beautiful place. lastly, to marina barrage. another pretty place. theme for the day: beautiful destinations.
31 march 2009 (tuesday)present
supposed to be stock-take in the morning and half-day leave. went to office for senior to brief about stock-take. then manager said have to attend the sesion in the evening. wanted to take leave for the day. 'rejected' by manager and senior. 'happy' birthday is not happy at all, with these people around. i never worked on my birthday. thanks to you people. and yes, i cried out loud, at the stairs. you made me take mc the next day.
enough of these. niam niam fetched me for porridge buffet lunch at marina square. thanks for the lilies and coach. well, i received two messages. supposed to be a surprise. thanks to our dear blur miss li. ha....
the damn stock-take at half past six. niam niam came with the girls at eight. they were the 'surprise'. ha.... down to geylang for 田鸡粥 and tze char. had my only birthday cake there. girls, thanks for the pink longchamp. home sweet home. mammy, thank you for the pendant and necklace.

took mc for the day. had brunch at west coast macdonald's. nice place. did my timesheet there. then went to see bungalows at andrew road. they are simple awesome. probably one of the nicest landed properties in singapore? then to the nearby nurseries. we thought of getting some pottery but didn't in the end. next to spca. we love doggies. the place isn't what i expected. they have nice dogs too and lovely ones.
next to qian hu for fish spa again. the fish have grown big, and i mean very big, to the size of fish you would see on your dining table. bigger fish, bigger sensation! finally managed to see a doctor after trying a few places. mr nice doctor gave me two days mc! he said my nose was congested and my throat is slightly inflammed. finally, had 鱼头炉 for dinner with niam's family then to geylang to buy durians and bring to his sister's house.
thank you to my family, niam niam, people who celebrated for me and people who sent me their wishes. much appreciated! love you guys~ my birthday is never complete without you....
