bangkok trip ~ 16 july (thursday) to 20 july (monday) 2009 yu jia, li ting, bo xiong, monica.
yup, the trip for us this year is to bangkok. shopping paradise in southeast asia. cheap air tickets (SGD69-jetstar) and cheap accomodation (SGD94-samran place) marked a good beginning. not much changes as compared to two years ago but the things they sell are much nicer, nicer clothes and shoes. having said that, you must have known our reaction to that. ha.
not many photographs taken as this is not the first time to bangkok for the most of us. one camera became faulty in the flight to bkk, the other was low batt. so limited photographs. but anyway, bangkok is a place to eat and shop. ha.
places we went included platinum fashion mall and siam square (of course. the shopping paradise!) and mbk (everyday) for tailoring, same as the previous trip. the girls have similar taste, so shopping was easy and crazy. ha. walked more of chatuchak this time round. the best area for me is the pets area! soooo cute little puppies. SGD200 for one! but too bad cannot be brought back. as usual, hot and stuffy. went to chinatown also. chatuchak and chinatown are killers! so big and hot! pantip plaza is bangkok's sim lim. night markets - patpong and suan lum. you can find all kinds of 'copy' in suan lum night bazaar, fun bargaining. not too be missed foods include a&w, t&k seafood, baslin robbins' ice-cream, fuji japanese restaurant and mister donut. i didn't get to eat 7-11 hotdog bun! definitely put on weight. did massage every night. nice. cheap and nice manicure (SGD11). yu jia did not get to try on the tuk tuk and river ride. maybe next time? stepped on many lemons throughout the trip. much expected for a holiday, isn't it?
many jokes throughout the trip. hope these will all be well-remembered by us. fun travelling with you guys. first time travelling in this combination. hope you guys had fun just like me. and i wish we can get to travel to another part of the world together again.
