it has been more than a week since typhoon morakot swept through southern and eastern taiwan. most help needed in suburban areas, the mountain villages. photos make me feel sad, news make me worried. why did mother nature play such a joke on them? death toll is 124 on sunday but hundreds more are believed to be buried alive under the rubble of shiao lin village. rain, typhoon, mudslide. who will expect them to cause such great harm? homes, schools, farms destroyed. the greatest challenge is to rebuild the villages with better facilities. and in such times, people start blaming president ma, whom they have supported during the election. it's not easy to handle such a situation. it poses as a challenge to him too. well, the government is helping now, along with international aid.
may the taiwanese unite and overcome this together.
think.... i may reject the offer. i am worth more than that. ha. pray! something better awaits me.
