i have not blogged anything about my new job yet, right? here it is. though i know it came a bit late. hahahahah.... a new firm, new environment, new culture, new people. this is always the case when you start a new job. i did not feel as lost as i had expected, probably because there were 220 of us. so to me, everybody is new. at least for these two weeks. so equal. more like schooling. right now, not used to it yet, so everything is still like stranger to me.
had three fun days of orientation. i think the human resource department really did a great job. much much effort was put in, to make the whole thing interesting. and following that was collection of laptop and training, until the end of this week. meaning end of go-home-early days. meaning back to our own department next week. meaning beginning of 'real lost' days, i guess.
through orientation and training, i met really a lot of people from diverse background. people from different parts of asia. that is really interesting, to talk to them. thankfully, i have two friends in this intake which eases my loneliness. saw vocal people, people who really doll up, people who seem proud, people who are really nice, good-looking ones, etc. in conclusion, mind my tail (don't step on it) and keep my peepers open (stay clear of dangers). i want a peaceful life there.
people and social apart, here comes the work. mixed feelings. i don't know how is my department. department orientation on monday. hopefully, everything smoothly. they are the people who i will be working with. so girl, you better be good! clients-wise, i don't know. aware of a few. pray hard that mine better be good as well. heard both positive and negative sides in the department. just hope that i have the strength and energy to overcome all. and i have so much to pick up IT-wise cos i am an IT-idiot! arrrrgh....
weirdly, i begin to see a gleam of light.... but will it flicker and disappear after a while? or will i move towards the source of light?
i am soooo broke. soooo looking forward to my first pay! sadly, a month to go....
