a week since i last blogged. little updatessss.

retook my second last cpa australia paper. second attempt. should be able to pass! though i said the same thing last semester. i am really more confident this time. i only wish for a pass. no high aim after the last setback. studying and / or the content page really makes a difference! thanks, wei yan! for the content page. though she may not see this. for some questions, i was able to find the answer in the materials, which was quite different from the first sitting.

something to announce. i am starting work on monday. still as an accounts executive. in a uk mnc, marine and shipping company, at concourse. so anybody at that vicinity, we can meet for lunch. my inital job-hunt goal was at least a senior finance executive. but you know, chances usually pop out from nowhere. i had wanted to reject this offer. but they are really quite sincere, i feel. and from what i heard from the hiring managers, the exposure is there.

time to work hard and strive hard! i am really determined this time. have to work towards our future and for my family! and i want to prove, prove to myself and everybody. i want to learn and gain more experience. and hope to work up the corporate ladder. jia you, jia you, jia you!

hui xian, thanks for the 'good luck' blessings! i really found a job before you came back! seems like we have to look at your travelling schedule during job-hunting, as proven by bo xiong and me.

something to mention. there was this interviewer i really like, and disappoint. she is the best boss i have ever seen. the agent told me she is really nice and told me to see it for myself. i was thinking 'how nice can really nice be?'. i don't know how to explain. but the feeling she gave me, the image she portrayed and the way she spoke, she is really nice. working for five years, i would say she is the best boss i have ever seen. she even told me 'i like you' during the interview. which interviewer will tell you that? i disappointed her though. felt real bad. shouldn't have gone for the interview. rejected the offer because of the location (lorong chuan), salary (executive level), designation (accountant - accounts and administration) and job scope.

i sincerely thank the interviewers and agents who appreciate my experience. there were interviewers who were really appreciative, including my new employer. they inject me with much confidence. common question i heard during interviews: are you married / are you getting married? why? discrimination or worried? i don't know and it's none of my concern, yet.

and i always feel the hr person is important. from the hr, you get to know the culture of the company. and the hr from my new employer is really sincere. nice.

i've had bad experiences with hr people throughout these five years. some may not be the bad kind of bad, but just not nice and warm.

except from my previous employer, the hr person is so nice. deceiving. misled. okay, i won't say the environment is super bad but not as good as i thought.

new job. i must put a false front. or rather, portray a stronger and more confident image. people no longer take advantage of me, no no. i am no longer that kind of little girl.
