if the success of a drama is determined by how much it relates to the audience and reality, i would say 败犬女王 my queen is a definite success. successful career woman in their thirties, who are singles, are now a societal norm. they are after the quality of life and they thrive to prove their success. nevertheless, deep down in their heart, there lies an empty corner, they yearn for love. putting work aside, what remains is an empty soul.
for some who were once deeply hurt by love, they choose to drown themselves in other aspects of life. some people put up a strong front but are in fact, weak creatures. things always happen when you least expect them. this goes the same for fate when it brings two people together, and love blossoms.
being single is no big deal, love will find its way.
another societal norm: may-december relationship 姐弟恋, is also what this drama is about. this kind of relationship always attracts doubts. but i beg to differ. to enhance my view, a good example of such a real-life couple is ashton kutcher and demi moore. they always appear to be a 'happily-ever-after' couple. every relationship poses challenges to a couple, and of course, there will be more awaiting, in a may-december relationship. truly, what other factors matter when two people in love are true to each other? others' views really don't matter at all.

love aside, kinship and friendship are evident in the drama as well. sometimes, it only takes somebody who really understands you to brighten your day, or to give you keen advice best for you.
many splendid theme songs from my all-time favourite female singer, fish leong 梁静茹, such as 没有如果, 爱情之所以爱情, 情歌, 风笛手. wonderful idol drama. good actors. quite impressed by cheryl 杨谨华 as she seldom acts, she really portrays the character very well. and of course, not forgetting my favourite actor, ethan 阮经天. always suave. acts well too. and other characters who spice up the drama. nice quotes too.

watched sex and the city 2 with yu jia, hui xian and niam niam last night. a fashion show indeed. plot-wise, not really good i would say. those 'killer' heels, so pretty. i love those lv bags, so lovely. and their fashionable clothes. and the friendship they share. friends, i want that kind of friendship too. marriage and children won't tie down the bond.
